Jamaica Blue Mountain - Blue Mountain Coffee
For this task we were learning about the Blue Mountain in Jamaica. Then we watched a video about the Maroon people who live in those mountains. They're people who escaped slavery from Spanish people. They joined the TaĆno living there, forming refugee communities. Soon they gained freedom. Then we watched video about the Blue Mountain Coffee. The reason why they are able to grow coffee beans on that mountain is because the atmosphere is just right over there. We also learnt about different celebraties who are Jamaican, including the famous man himself, Bob Marley! Then we did research about the coffee and shared out understandings.
